Odd Garden is a gentle reminder that despite our tendency to divide ourselves from it, humans are nature. Through the thoughtful use of green spaces as a part of our daily lives, maybe we can dissolve the perceived dichotomy.

I’ve always considered nature to be something separate and sacred. My long walks into the wilderness have been an attempt to confront it, be humbled by it or be at peace with it. Upon returning home to civilization, nature becomes a distant memory and my photos are the only evidence of its existence. Recently, I’ve been reading some concepts that are shattering my Romantic views of nature, but I haven’t quite put the pieces back together. Short answer, I don’t know.

Some of my photos are an attempt to capture a moment of stillness out of geological and ecological chaos. Most of my photos are nice rocks and trees I meet along the way.
